Thesis it!

one of the best things about blogging is that you are not haunted by the act of plagiarism. Maybe in some selected cases but I mean blogging is like being yourself. I think this thought came to me due to my thesis. You know, everything you write on your thesis must be based on factual data. All the sources like books, journals and even pictures must be properly cited. Well I think that's just being fair, the mere fact that you are utilizing  other people's ideas is already something. These scholars or researchers spent a great amount of time writing, researching and thinking about these things. I know this might be a very boring entry. But I must say, thesis has been in my mind right after I woke up today. And before I go to bed. It will be the last thing.

I am just so thankful that my adviser is a genius. She explains all the ideas perfectly and she removes the clout of any confusion in my mind. I think this thesis of mine is like working on a record like what Pop stars Beyonce and Lady Gaga or other artists such as Aersomith or Bjork do. Artists choose their producers or writers whom they will collaborate with. And choosing the right people to work with is a requisite to the success of any endeavor.
As for me, I have a very good relationship with my adviser. I think she is like my fairy-godmother.

This week is very tedious for me. But so far, I am enjoying the process of writing my thesis. I hope this lasts until the final chapters.

BOYS II MEN live at the Big Dome!

I have been dying to watch Boys II Men for like ages. I mean I grew up listening to them. I can still remember myself singing their hits during school programs. Their song, "One Sweet Today" with Mariah Carey top the Billboard Hot 100 for almost eight weeks. Who can ever forget their chart topping and heartfelt singles like I'll make love to you, Four Seasons of Loneliness, End of the Road and Color of Love.

I heard over the news that they are also releasing a brand new album called "Love". Most of the tracks I think are covers of famous love songs. But I am sure they did an excellent job with this album.
Anyhow, to all the die hard Boys II Men fanatics out there! Catch them tomorrow, Friday the 13th at the Big dome!

camera and thesis needed!

i really want to take blogging seriously. i mean I've been to a lot of events and i want to share it to the world. I've been to product launches, press conferences, parties, album launch and concerts. the only problem i have is that i don't have my own camera.
i think photos can really capture things that words cannot. i need a decent DSLR camera, even the Nikon d3000. I badly need one! Swear!

Anyhoo, thesis is coming up this weekend. it is no joke i really have to focus on my thesis so i can wear sablay and earn that diploma. my thesis topic is something really silly. i don't know if silly is even the write word to describe it. But my topic will still remain to be a secret.
Though a few of my closest friends know it already.

Aside from doing my thesis, i will also focus on making my portfolio. you see, channel v experience just ended last July 30. I am officially done with my 150 hours internship for TV and PR. Pictures soon to follow folks!

That's all for now, hope to upload all my events and stuff. Please give me the drive to do so. Thanks

the man of the hour!

This day was fantastic1 Maybe I can start building my blog. In a way it will allow me to release the stress or share my experiences to the world. Life is exciting, I don't want to just walk through this planet and never made any mark in history. From now, it will be a pledge on my part to post all of my life's happenings! I am just so blessed that I have the opportunity to be expose into various experiences like meeting new people and also learning how to write. In a way, putting and maintaining a blog will let you make your own daily scrapbook which you will flip through after twenty years. So much had happened during the past weeks. It is my internship with Channel V. And parekoy I must tell you, this internship is not the one I had in mind.

Its not the typical internship wherein you are asked to make coffee for your Executive Producers or sell pastilyas in front of the audience entrance. It is more to that. Last Friday, I just had Usher! I mean watched the concert of Usher here in Manila at SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds for free! I can't even believe it! I grew up listening to Usher's music. Since elementary and especially when I was in High school. It was exhilarating for me and my fellow interns namely Mabeth and Karla.
When we got at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds earlier before the concert we were speechless!

I want to thank our Production Manager Sir Sky and most especially to Channel V's HR Director Miss Malyn Candelaria for giving us the opportunity and trusting the three of us in the concert.

We got there around 11 in the morning and stayed until the almost everyone leave the venue. It's all worth it though! We didn't paid anything! We saved ourselves around 12 grand for the VIP Pass (which we can also access) or 9 grand for the Gold Section (this is where we stayed!)

I will upload the videos of Usher soon! I think Usher's concert is the biggest reward I ever had as an intern :D

Blogs more to follow!

That is all for now! Goodnight folks

GRAND FACE OFF

Often times many people die not having the opportunity to come face to face with the people they look up to, probably for an obvious reason-these 'people' are deemed unreachable. But still we hang on the possibility that somehow along our journey there might still be a chance for such encounter to happen.

As for my debut entry let me share with you the hardest yet most rewarding task I did in my life.  My grand face off with Mr. Boy Abunda.
